Tourism North East is pleased to launch the new “It’s my High Country thing” social media led marketing campaign from 6 October 2025. The campaign highlights how to make the most out of a visit to Victoria’s High Country, by creating instructional videos with our local tourism partners that guide viewers through their “High Country Thing”.

We're inviting all of our local tourism operators and businesses to join in and leverage this social media-led campaign by creating your own social and web content, as well as collaborating and engaging with the @seehighcountry social channels.

We've created an Industry Toolkit to show you how easy it is to get involved and help visitors feel like "a local" by sharing your High Country Thing.

Campaign Summary

In a cluttered and busy world, people need a break. Finding joy in the simple pleasures in a place with real people is on the needs list rather than the wants list.

But where to start? We are inviting visitors to experience the High Country our way, by sharing a useful ‘how to guide’ for the ultimate High Country escape.

From October 2025 to June 2026, Tourism North East will run a social media-led marketing campaign to highlight why Victoria’s High Country is a fantastic spot for your next holiday, with a series of ‘It's my High Country thing’ video guides made in collaboration with our dedicated tourism industry partners. These video guides are designed to assist visitors to holiday like a local in the High Country.

The content aims to drive engagement, audience sharing, post saves and link clicks to the Victoria’s High Country website, as well as direct clicks to the social accounts and ATDW Listings of products and experiences featured. Check out the campaign page here.

You can be a part of showing them how to make the most of their visit by being part of the "It's my High Country thing" campaign.

Download the Industry Toolkit to find out how your business can get involved.

The campaign will be managed by Tourism North East.
