Are you interested in partnering with Tourism North East? Want your business to feature on the Victoria’s High Country
Visitor App, or the Victoria's High Country website?

You need an ATDW listing.

The Background

Tourism North East is the Visitor Economy Partnership responsible for marketing and product development for the Victoria's High Country and Ride High Country brands.

In 2023, we released the ‘Victoria’s High Country Visitor App’, a smartphone App dedicated to providing practical information to visitors for all the products and experiences available within our region.

The App represents a stress free and simple way for visitors to dream, book and explore Victoria’s High Country with confidence, by allowing visitors to search for and curate experiences and offerings based on their interests, location and needs.

We do this by leveraging our tourism businesses’ existing investment in content. All tourism businesses with an Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing are automatically listed on the App, at no additional cost to industry.

What is ATDW?

ATDW stands for Australian Tourism Data Warehouse. It is a platform owned by Tourism Australia and the State Tourism Offices (for us that’s Visit Victoria) and is essentially a central list for tourism businesses that acts as the vehicle to showcase businesses, products and experiences across a range of online channels including victoriashighcountry.com.au, visitvictoria.com, australia.com and many others.

ATDW is an important part of the marketing mix for any tourism business. It is no different to any other paid advertising channel such as a local paper, magazine or paid social media advertising.

Importantly, listing on ATDW ensures that your business or event is listed on national, state, regional and local destination websites. For businesses within Victoria’s High Country, it is how your business gets featured on the Victoria’s High Country visitor App.

The business information presented on our Visitor App and Victoria’s High Country website is entirely up to what you decide to include in your ATDW listing. Want to show off some new food pics? Need to update your opening hours? Offering a new guided tour? You can update your ATDW listing at any time via the ATDW portal, and this information will automatically pull through to anywhere your listing is featured, pending review from the ATDW team (usually 24 hours).

Listings cost $295 per year. Although it might seem like an unnecessary expense, having a listing means that not only does your business or event get displayed across multiple channels and the Victoria’s High Country App, your listing is your ‘ticket to play’ in the event there are promotional / media opportunities with Tourism North East.
