Applications are now open for the refreshed Ride High Country Preferred (RHCP) program, the initiative that recognises and promotes businesses that go the extra mile to welcome cyclists.
From bike-friendly accommodation and cafés to bike shops, hire services and guided tours, RHCP highlights the businesses that make riding in Victoria’s High Country even more memorable.
While many accommodation and hospitality businesses have already applied, we’re still encouraging bike services, including retail stores, hire operators, tour companies and transport providers, to get involved. These businesses play a crucial role in the cycling experience, from the first tune-up to the last post-ride coffee.
It’s important to note that being a valued part of the Ride High Country community doesn’t automatically include your business in RHCP. All businesses must submit an application to be recognised and featured as part of the program.
The process is straightforward:
- Review the cycle-friendly criteria relevant to your category.
- Complete a short online application via the Tourism North East website.
- Once approved, your business will receive access to a digital toolkit, marketing collateral, and eligibility for inclusion in Ride High Country campaigns and promotions.
By joining RHCP, you’ll be part of a growing network of like-minded operators committed to delivering world-class cycling experiences and reinforcing Victoria’s High Country as Australia’s Premier Cycling Destination.
