Revive Live is a competitive grants program designed to support original live Australian music, first announced as part of the 2024-25 Federal Budget.
The Australian live music industry forms a vibrant part of Australia’s arts and culture landscape. Live music venues and music festivals are a critical part of the live music industry ecosystem, providing a fundamental pillar for success that is vital to the development of both artist and audience. They allow artists to grow audiences, build professionalism and profile, and earn an income.
The program is designed to provide essential support to established live music venues and music festivals to assist them to continue to operate in the current operating climate, limiting venue closures and event cancellations, and stimulating long-term sustainability. It will also focus on activities that improve accessibility and provide participation opportunities for audiences, and career pathways for musicians and music workers, with disability.
The Australian Government will provide a total of $11.6 million in grant funding over 2025-26 for the Revive Live program. The maximum grant amount is $150,000 for venues and small festivals. Larger festivals with more than 10,000 attendees can receive funding of up to $250,000.
There is one funding round. Applications are now open, and will close on September 26, 2025.
