A new CEO has been announced for Food and Wine Victoria.

Georgie Williams has taken over from Natalie O’Brien, a TNE Board Skills-based Director, who resigned from the role after 16 years as CEO and successfully leading the memorable 25th Festival earlier in the year.

Ms Williams has a strong and respected background of leadership in finance, marketing and brand development in Australia and also the UK including valuable experience in event partnership and management, embracing the food and wine sector.

The food and wine industry in Victoria accounts for in excess of $30bn annually and accounts for approximately 20% the GDP of Victoria.

Food & Wine Victoria has also assumed responsibility for the promotion of Victoria’s acknowledged leadership in the food and wine industries, whilst retaining responsibility for the creation and management of the globally acclaimed Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. This festival now numbers over 300 events and in excess of 250,000 patrons annually making it one of the top 10 Food and Wine festivals globally.
