Tourism North East (TNE) is the peak regional tourism organisation for Victoria’s High Country, charged with developing the long-term strategic vision and direction for the region and its visitor economy.

TNE is an independent non-profit organisation, formed through a partnership between local councils, alpine resort management boards, Visit Victoria and the tourism industry. It is governed by a Board of Directors that has the overall responsibility for the successful leadership and development of tourism across the region.  An independent Chair leads the Board, which consists of both skills-based director and local government and alpine resort management CEOs.

TNE is currently seeking two skills-based Directors to join its Board who have the ability to apply strategic thought on a regional level, and drive excellent governance practices.  Expertise in tourism, government advocacy and destination development are particularly relevant. A demonstrated willingness to take a whole of region view is essential. The skills based roles on the board of directors are appointed based on overall skills and are not appointed representing geographic locations or industry sectors. Board directors are voluntary positions.
