To inform this analysis, a survey is being conducted of regional tourism businesses in Victoria to better understand your capabilities across a wide range of areas. The survey closes on Friday, 6 September and will take no more than 15 minutes to complete.

In August 2024, the Victorian State Government announced that the Short Stay Levy, introduced in The Victorian Housing Statement in September 2023, will come into effect from 1st January 2025. 

On August 30 2024, the Board of Tourism North East confirmed the appointment of Mr Martin Pakula as incoming Chair, commencing May 2025, when the second and final term of the current Chair concludes.
